« SILENCE OF THE BUTTERFLIES" is a psychological thriller.

Why have I chosen this kind of film? Many reasons stand beyond this deliberated choice.

It's simply because these kind of film have made the beautiful and the booming days of Hollywood films. Since its creation and still continues to have an important and a leading position in the Production industry chessboard. In Morocco, this kind of film is almost practically non-existent, at least in cinema.

In general, we as film makers, we do not seem have given it more interest

The exception is manifested when it comes to some TV films of unequal quality.

One of my Goals in the "SILENCE OF THE BUTTERFLIES", is to scramble the kind of which it's supposed to be.

Is it a psychological thriller or a detective film?

SILENCE OF THE BUTTERFLIES, without any contestation is considered as psychological thriller, near to the detective film. Because it relies on the danger to which the hero is exposed to, but not about the police investigation or an inquiry. The narrative is closely related to the thoughts and the point of view of the investigator and also of the victim, where the psychological aspect of the main figures, is of more importance and holds a dominant position in the intrigue.

Using different sequences has no aim but nothing than just to hook, support and make the spectators thrill to finally reach an utterly unexpected ending.

Some few breaks scattering along the film have for ambition to allow the spectators to blow emotionally.

In fact, in this film, descriptions are often believed, the suspense is very intense. With a huge treatment of miscellaneous topics and themes such as (inceste, revenge, code of honor, police investigation)

The all is set in a balanced way that we hope with the uttermost rigorousness.

We will insure that neither inconsistence nor gray zone are no longer tolerated. In order to keep the spectators breathless and not to spoil the suspense.

I have always dreamed of a psychological film, that gets on the nerves of both my heroes and spectators.

SILENCE OF THE BUTTERFLIES, will finally allow me to deliver a kind of game that always occurs between the cat and the mouse, for my own pleasure and that of the spectators.

It was jean-luc Godard who once said:" there's the visible and invisible. If you only film the visible it's a tele film that you make"

Our production company "morocco movie group" always aims to make the almost of its talent, its known ..., the mastery and competence of its technical and artistic team, and of the end of its passion,.. To realize a project in optimal conditions, whatever its nature (telefilm, document, cinema etc...)

Whenever a project has submitted to us, we try to understand the motivation and the stakes and we give it all the interest that it deserves.

Concerning the full-length film "SILENCE OF THE BUTTERFLIES", we made the maximum and put all our means at the service of the director and the scenario.

Given the thematic of the film, its psychodramatic nature, the complexity of the characters and the multiplicity of the set, accessories and costumes.

We were all ears; we listened to the writing and production team, also we have granted all the necessary time in order to make it succeed.

Nothing was left to chance; since the metical... preparation of the shooting, the rigorous work of the costing, the uncompromising recruitment of technicians, the struggle to find out the suitable set

The appropriated costumes to each of the characters and also the right accessories.

The shooting took place in conditions that are sometimes difficult of some sets such as ( hospital, police station, etc...) but thanks to our experience and our team's perseverance, everything gone well.

And once the shooting is fulfilled. We started with next step which is the post-production.

... with we have dedicated as much effort as the previous work, where professionalism preveils.

" SILENCE OF THE BUTTERFLIES " as a project was not easy to produce, but despite the fact that the film has not been ... remains satisfying both for us and for those have seen it, it's an achievement of which we're proud.
